For the past 6 years, Clean Beauty Collective has proudly partnered with EARTHDAY.ORG to support their Protect Our Species program—an initiative dedicated to saving the precious pollinators that make our perfumes possible. This year, we’re giving a celebratory spritz to one of the planet’s most dazzling yet underrated creatures: the hummingbird.
While they’re known for their iridescent beauty and breathtaking speed, we dare to guess that you didn’t know there are over 300 species of hummingbirds. While most hummingbirds live in Central and South America, about 8,000 plants in those areas depend on hummingbirds’ pollination services. So, you could say they play a crucial role in our ecosystems by pollinating flowers and supporting biodiversity.
Even more interesting is that even though they have no sense of smell (yes, even with those adorable long beaks), they have great color vision and are most attracted to red, pink, yellow, and orange flowers. While the well-known pollinators such as bees can pollinate up to 1,500 flowers a day, hummingbirds are able to pollinate up to 2,000! They’re the sprinters of the pollinator world, zipping from bloom to bloom with style.

And it’s not just what’s inside—our boxes and bottles are 100% recyclable. Oh, and we made sure to use FSC-certified paper and compostable cellophane that’s derived from corn. We never want our fragrances to end up in landfills.
